This low table is a unique and exquisite example of a Qing Dynasty (1636–1912) burled root wood table with Songhua river stone panels put in.

A unique piece of handcrafted art from Provincial China in the 18th and 19th centuries, it has a remarkable sculptural form with a naturalistic root-like complex producing the rectangular live-edge top, spacious aprons, and twisting legs that are somewhat splayed.

The top has two gentle greenish-gray Songhua panels with delicate light veining and organic inclusions, framed by beautifully detailed burl wood grain decoration.
